Well I do have 2 title one kids and if it wasn't bad enough that it took 6+ weeks after school started for the school to get their stuff together enough to start this program (for our kids educational purposes mind you), but now that it has started up now i find out from my kids that they don't even get their scheduled 3 days a week. When is our childrens education going to come first?

That's funny because both my son and daughter have had approx 6 visits each with their title one teacher since school started this year!!!

Thank You Bill, the last time I did all I got was the run around and no returned phone calls. Is there a particular department or person to contact?

Re: Anyone Have a "Title One" Child?
Also, it's kinda hard to have a "Title 1" teacher when she is constantly pulled to either work in the office throughout the day (who knows where the office staff is), and when she's also pulled to sub in classrooms for either a partial or full day. It just blows my mind why the "principal" would do this knowing that our children are needing her help and she is being paid for this. Why is the principal not getting a sub?

Re: Anyone Have a "Title One" Child?
I have gotten a hold of some info on title1 as my child has an IEP and I thought it relevant to bring up my other Childs Title one with the ISD while I was on the phone with them. They gave me the # to Department of Education’s Office for field services they were not positive but thought the contact person should be Leah Breen the number is (517) 373-4004 I know I will be trying to get in contact with them concerning my children. I would think that the more of us that inquire with her the better the chance our children will have at getting some help. I would like to say that I have fought long and hard to get the help my children need I came to white pine for this reason. I was ready to pull my children out at the beginning of the year and send them back to public schools but our new special Ed teacher pushed my child through to get him the help he needed. I CAN NOT thank her enough for the help she has given mean my child.

Re: Anyone Have a "Title One" Child?
Well I got a copy of my kids Title 1 log sheet and OMG!!!
My son has been seen 10 times now & my oldest has been seen twice... I did the math and the minimum amount of times they should have each been seen since school started is 29-31 times... Don't these numbers look good compared to what our children are actually getting???????

Re: Anyone Have a "Title One" Child?
How do you get a copy of the title one log sheets for your own child? I'm very curious about that. Donna has a great idea about contacting Leah Breen at 517-373-4004. The more of us that show concern the more likely it is that we'll be taken seriously and something will have to be done.
